IDEA FOR MY REPORT TITLE

TOPIC -  ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES ( SOLAR ENERGY )

HYPOTHESIS  -  WE NEED ALTERNATIVE ENERGY SOURCES

REASON FOR TOPIC

The reason I have chosen this topic is that as we have all noticed energy is probably the most challenging problem the world is facing. Every day scientists are researching into new ways to generate energy so |I would like to research into this topic and write a suitable and befitting report on it

REFLECTION

My VARK score shows that I am more of a read and write type of learner than all the other learning styles.

LEARNING LINE

I started schooling at the age of two, from the basic level of nursery. Then i progressed onto primary school education at the age of five. The next level of my education was seconday school which i started at the age of eleven and finished at age 17. I moved to the united kingdom after my secondary education, inorder to undergo a foundation pathway which would lead to my undergraduate degree programme in Mechanical Engineering. 

SWOT ANALYSIS

STRENGTHS

My key strengths are:

• good communication skills,
• working well in a group,
• referencing works and avoiding collusion,
• the ability to research using a variety of resources,
• use microsoft office applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel,
• using power point which means quality presentations,
• writing poetry,
• drawing animations and
• being very imaginative.

OPPORTUNITIES

At university, some of the various opportunities I will have are:

• learning a wide range of subjects,
• interacting with people of diffrent backgrounds,
• learning how to manage time,
• mastering the art of 3D modelling,
• knowing how to operate and use autodesk and
• coming in contact with various laboratory equipment which i will master their usage.

WEAKNESSES

Some of my weaknesses are:

• public speaking,
• making presentations

THREATS

The threats i am facing as at now are:

• Finance
• Feeding
• Self management
• Time management
• Healthcare

1st day lectures.....

First day lectures were quite hectic due to the fact that we had lectures from nine in the morning to seven in the evening,which is a very long day of learning. In my previous education we got to choose our own individual timetables which the day was short and i am finding it extermly hard having a full day. Well, i do hope i get used to  the timtable schedule pretty soon because i am enjoying how university life is going and i look forward to the future.The machtronics class was just a revision and brush up on past materials while the learning and skill developmant class was a bombarding one which is exactly the reason why i have a blog now, but however i do like it and its fun to use. The introduction to engineering materials was a little bit dull because its an evening class but nevertheless the lecturer was more than capable of carrying us along...so there it is,am done with my first day and can't wait for what next week would bring,
